Emergency Response Open Water

The Emergency Response Open Water course from the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) is for those who work near water. This training programme covers the basic skills of land based rescues and the use of rescue aids. Especially designed for those working near or around water who don't have any direct responsibility for aquatic safety but may be expected to respond in an emergency. What are the entry requirements?
Candidates must be 16 years of age or over.

Who is this course aimed at?
People who work near or around water but who don't have any direct responsibility for aquatic safety.

What will I be doing on the course?
The syllabus trains candidates to a level of competence in land and water based rescue techniques, basic first aid and Life Support.

How do I study the course?
The course takes place at The Training Centre at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, Cornwall. ALTERNATIVE VENUE: Trainees can also take the course on scheduled dates at the Stokes Bay Sailing Club in Gosport, Hampshire.

What can I do after the course?
You may decide to take our National Beach Lifeguard Qualification which is the stepping stone to careers as a beach lifeguard, surf coach and other instructor or water safety roles.

£145 per person.
