Automatic External Defibrillator
The defibrillation course teaches people how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator machine to attempt to restore heartbeat in casualties who've suffered a cardiac arrest.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no requirements for this course
Who is this course aimed at?
The course is designed for any one who has access to an AED machine.
What will I be doing on the course?
The course covers the core competencies required to use an AED.
How do I study the course?
The course is minimum of a four hour session which culminates in a final practical assessment.
What can I do after the course?
Depending on the individual, we offer a broad range of emergency medical courses. Further advice can be given on request.
Additional information:
The certificate is valid for 12 months but a 2-hour refresher course is recommended every six months.
