Response to Redundancy - Funded Training Courses

The Training Centre in Newquay is offering free, funded training courses to people who have recently lost their jobs in Cornwall. The Response to Redundancy training programme is offered by The Training Centre in association with Working Links, the Skills Funding Agency, the European Social Fund and Convergence funding.

The Response to Redundancy offers funded places on a range of vocational courses to workers who have been made redundant or lost their jobs within the last six months.

Only 100 funded places are available on a diverse range of courses designed to give people new skills to help them find jobs in Cornwall. The free training is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

The Training Centre has the following courses available as part of the Response to Redundancy programme:

• First Aid at Work - HSE
• First Aid at Work Refresher - HSE
• Emergency First Aid at Work - HSE
• Paediatric First Aid
• Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)
• Defibrillation (incorporating Oxygen)
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification - RLSS
• National Beach Lifeguard Qualification - RLSS
• Emergency Response – Activity Supervisor
• Emergency Response – Open water
• Level workplace Health & Safety qualification
• Conflict Management
• Fire Marshall
• Terrorism Threat Awareness
